Fun at the Galvin Tipper Christmas Gala

Broadway SC took part in the annual Galvin Tipper Christmas Gala, at Wombourne Leisure Centre.

The gala was Christmas themed with many people attending wearing fancy dress.
Although this was a competitive gala there were some fun relay races about half way through the gala, using floats, plastic ducks, hoops.
Everyone had a great night of friendly competition and was great way to get everyone in the Christmas spirit!!

Competing against teams from Pershore, Stourbridge, Wombourne, Heath Town and Redditch, Broadway finished 4th overall.

Broadway SC Achieve Junior League Promotion

Broadway SC’s junior league squad have achieved promotion to the Nuneaton and District Junior league 2.

The junior squad achieved this by finishing in 3rd place, at the Junior league 3 finals held at Wolverhampton Central baths on Saturday 1oth September 2016.

This was a fantastic achievement when considering Broadway have 1 of the smallest squads of 23 swimmers, compared to other finalists with 36 swimmers.

City of Stoke Open Meet – April 2016

Nine year old Blake Webb was the star of the weekend in his first open meet, winning three golds in the 100m Individual Medley, 50m Butterfly and 50m Breaststroke.

Jenson Proctor 10yrs won the Silver in the 100m Individual Medley.

Callum Bird, George Pattinson, Matthias Henry all scored personal best times in their events.

Harriet Shepherd and Megan Butler swam 10 individual races each and got six personal best times.
